Cubbi (pronounced Cub-bee) was founded by sisters Olivia and Tanyka in 2023 after Olivia’s own experience of maternity leave.
Like many new mums, Olivia quickly discovered how expensive parental leave could be. With finances stretched, even the smallest treats like a coffee or a pair of jeans to fit her new body, were tinged with guilt.
Out of this frustration came the idea for Cubbi: a platform built to support new and expecting parents with exclusive discounts from brands that truly understand the realities of family life.
After launching in February 2024, the response from parents was overwhelming. Thousands joined within months, proving there was a real need for a space where families could save money. Seeing this reaction, Olivia and Tanyka knew they were onto something and decided to go all in.
Today, Cubbi is on a mission to partner with the UK’s best-loved brands, making parental leave more affordable for everyone. And this is just the beginning. With plenty of exciting ideas in the pipeline, Cubbi is here to make life that little bit easier for new parents. Watch this space!

Olivia is the spark behind the creation of Cubbi. She couldn’t ignore how little support was available for parents compared to the perks offered to students, and she knew there had to be a better way. Together with her sister Tanyka, she set out to change that. Now a mum of two boys, Olivia knows first-hand the juggle of raising little ones while building something new. Her lived experience continues to shape Cubbi, keeping the platform grounded in what parents actually need, and ensuring every feature makes life a little easier.

When her sister Olivia shared how overwhelming the costs of parental leave were, it was Tanyka who pushed her to take the leap and turn the idea into a business. With no coding background, she rolled up her sleeves and built Cubbi’s very first app from scratch. While Olivia brings the big ideas, Tanyka focuses on nailing the execution, making sure Cubbi moves from vision to something parents can actually use and benefit from.
